Looking for an affordable property to hunt or build your country getaway, check out this 24.5-acre Farm and Hunting Land for Sale in Enfield, NC. Have you been trying to find that perfect hunting hot spot full of wildlife, or a home site on a quiet road with little traffic and plenty of privacy, then this offering is for you! This manageable size farm has almost 1,000 feet of road frontage on Beaverdam Road in Halifax County, North Carolina. The farm consists of 11.5 acres of tillable land, currently in crop production, and 13 acres of timber with a nice mix of pines and mature hardwoods.

There is plenty of room for tripod stands and shooting houses on the wood lines and field corners. We spotted several nice trees ideal for two man ladder stands where you can have a full view of the fields and transition areas along the field edges. There is a drainage ditch in the tree line that would be ideal to hang a bow stand from, as that dark wooded area behind the field edge is where a mature buck would travel in route to and from the agriculture. Halifax County is known for great deer, bear, and turkey hunting, every year some of the highest harvest numbers are reported here.

The nearby historic town of Halifax is located on the Roanoke River; the town was developed into a commercial and political center at the time of the American Revolution. North Carolina's Fourth Provincial Congress met in Halifax in the spring of 1776. On April 12 that body unanimously adopted a document later called the "Halifax Resolves," which was the first official action by an entire colony recommending independence from England. Straddling the North Carolina and Virginia border between I-85 and I-95, Lake Gaston is a 20,000-acre lake bounded by the Kerr Dam and Gaston Dam and borders the counties of Mecklenburg and Brunswick in Virginia and the counties of Warren, Halifax and Northampton in North Carolina. There is public access at the Lake Gaston Day Use Area, located on 2369 Jack Brown Road, along with a fishing pier, boat ramp and public swimming area.

Lake Gaston is well stocked with game fish, which include striped bass or rock fish, large mouth bass, crappie, sunfish and several varieties of catfish. Other species of fish sometimes caught are walleye, yellow perch and chain pickerel. A valid license for either Virginia or North Carolina permits fishing from a boat in either state. No license is required for those under 15. So bring the grandkids and lets go fishing!
